Portfolio
I have various things that I like to work on, some of them are things I have created in some sort of way. This is the best way I have come up with to share them for now. Of course, this is a fluid work in progress.
Podcasting
In the fall of 2004, I discovered podcasting and became a podcaster the very same night. My strong background in radio was a natural progression to adapting this new medium and technology.
RadioZoom
A mix of music, discussions of day to day life, stories, thoughts on current events, insights on technology, and whatever else comes to mind. The music played on this podcast involves mostly independent or unknown artists that are either loved, discovered, or submitted for play.
The Crazy Canucks
The Crazy Canucks is a roundtable podcast that focuses on our favorite NHL team, the Vancouver Canucks. We are a group of bloggers, podcasters and hockey enthusiasts from all over British Columbia, who, through the magic of Skype, come together once a week to cheer and rag on our beloved team.
Website & Blog Designs
I have been designing websites off and on for over ten years. Some examples of my design skills are listed below.
The design for this blog is something of my own time and creation. It is built on WordPress and programmed in PHP, HTML, CSS, minor Javascripting, and lots of fun plugins.
This is the WordPress site that was a design collaboration. Programmed in PHP, HTML, CSS, minor Javascripting, and various plugins. Miss604.com belongs to my wife and is a blog about her life as a lifelong Vancouverite.
The website for RadioZoom is a WordPress design using PHP, HTML, and CSS. Of course, there are a variety of plugins, but this site is specifically geared towards the podcast and any content relating to it.
This is the WordPress site that is specifically for The Crazy Canucks podcast. Programmed in PHP, HTML, CSS, minor Javascripting, and various plugins, the site is designed with the podcast in mind as well as promoting the projects of all contributors.
Radio Production
I've been playing around with digital audio since high school, using it in various school projects. From the age of 12, I've had a love affair with radio, which led me to be production director for two years at KRUI in Iowa City. Here are some examples of some on-air production that I've created.
KRUI's College Survivor
This production an ADDY Award from the Advertising Federation of Cedar Rapids for a noteworthy campaign through print, radio, and internet marketing. As PD, I collaborated with fellow staff member at the time, John Mullin, to make production before and during the two day event. This was a lot of fun and huge success.

KRUI's Potato For President
This sampling won three ADDY Awards from the Advertising Federation of Cedar Rapids for a noteworthy campaign through print, radio, and internet marketing. The campaign was intended to raise awareness for the UI Student Government elections, and turnout was the highest in a number of years. As PD, again I collaborated with fellow staff member at the time, John Mullin, to create concepts and production for the duration of the campaign.

KRUI Production (various)
This is a collection of other pieces that I produced during my entire time at KRUI.
» Spot Break Lead: We Play Crap - Anyone that has done college radio should appreciate this one.
» Spot Break Lead: The World - This alluded to the internet streaming that I helped to establish.
» Legal ID: Japanese - After spending a summer in Japan, I collaborated with a fellow staff member who was a Japanese major for this.
» Show Promo: Good Rockin' Tonight - One of my favorite promos. These two guys came in with the concept and let me work the editing.
» Show Promo: Jazz Train - Nothing too complicated, but I worked with this producer to bring his concept to life.
» Show Promo: Sports Opinion - This is another concept that I edited together for one of two weekly sports programs.
» News Break Sounder - Being "The Sound Alternative", I cut, mixed, remixed, and put a sounder together to bring something particular to the news breaks that KRUI aired three times during the weekdays.
Voice Work
Outside of the production that I have made for radio and my podcasts, I have outside experience with doing voice work. I would be happy to do more. If you would like my services, then please contact me.
Nebraska Association of Student Councils
The NASC used my voice for a PowerPoint presentation that was given at one of their events in 2002. Andy Stoll scripted this project and produced the final project. The audio to the opening and closing presentations are below.

Photos
I'm very much an amateur photographer, but my techniques have progressed ever since I bought my first digital camera nearly four years ago. I apply a lot of this to my personal web design and blogging, but occasionally my photos are used for purposes other than my own.

Writings
In my last year of college, I took nonfiction writing. Because of that class, I am a blogger. These are a few stories from that course that I've listed here to keep those documented for the sake of being there. I'd like to do more literary writing, but it's all about finding the time.
